Matthew Schenck specializes in
complex litigation representing employers,
universities and health care organizations in matters
in state and federal courts and before administrative
agencies. He is an accomplished commercial litigator
having represented public and private entities in
resolving complex business disputes, including both
employment and health care-related cases. He has
handled cases involving the False Claims Act, trade
secrets, covenants not to compete, antitrust, fraud,
wage and hour, wrongful termination, discrimination,
harassment claims and medical billing disputes. He has
achieved notable results in defending against qui tam
lawsuits and in using the California anti-SLAPP
statute against meritless claims.
Mr. Schenck also has substantial
experience as an advocate in alternative dispute
resolution proceedings, including arbitration of
multi-million dollar disputes.
In addition to his litigation
practice, Mr. Schenck advises and counsels clients,
with an emphasis on preventing litigation.
