Biography

Karin Sherr represents employers in all aspects of labor and employment law, including employment discrimination, disability law, wage and hour class actions, wrongful discharge, retaliation and compliance matters.  Ms. Sherr has successfully represented employers in a broad range of employment matters at both the trial and appellate levels in state and federal court.  She has assisted employers with claims ranging from administrative charges and single plaintiff lawsuits to large wage and hour class actions.  Ms. Sherr has an array of litigation experience, including law and motion practice, oral argument, all phases of discovery, mediation, arbitrations, and trial preparation.

Ms. Sherr advises clients about federal and state employment laws that affect the employment relationship, including the Fair Labor Standards Act, Title VII, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and other state and federal statutes.  She has drafted employee handbooks and personnel policies, as well as employment, severance, and settlement agreements for clients.

Ms. Sherr has extensive experience handling wage and hour litigation, including numerous class actions.
